$6.10/lb. hanging weight plus a processing fee of $0.76/lb. hanging weight and a disposal fee and a quartering fee
(roughly $0.95/lb. total for processing) for a total average of $6.75/lb. hanging weight*

WHEN WILL YOU BE SELLING QUARTER AND HALF COWS?

We will be selling quarters and halves in December of 2026.

When we announce through our newsletter, email your name, phone number, what you want, and we will request a $250/$500 deposit.

The average cost for a quarter cow will be between $1,100-$1,300. The average cost for a half cow will be $2,200-$2,600. Prices will vary depending on the weight of the cow.

All cuts on our website are available. You can customize steak thicknesses and sizes of roasts.
We will send you the cut order sheet once we have received your $250/$500 deposit. The processor will call you directly.
You will receive a pick up day and time and pick up your order at Cross W Ranch. All beef will be frozen and in bags. A quarter cow will be approximately 5-6 paper grocery bags. A half cow will be approximately 10-12 paper grocery bags.

  • We will contact you to schedule a pickup day and time. Please wait for confirmation before arriving.
  • Pickup is self-service at the barn and is available daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
  • Please enter through the 10-foot sliding barn doors located across from the horse pasture. Parking is available directly in front of the doors.
  • Upon entering, you will find a freezer on the left side. Your order will be labeled with your name and the number of bags included.
  • We accept cash, checks, and Venmo payments.
  • Checks should be made payable to “Cross W Ranch.”
  • For cash payments, please place the cash in the provided envelope and include your name before depositing it in the cash box.
  • Venmo payments can be sent to @Cross-W (last 4 digits: 3030).
